Infinerun is a fast-paced card game for two players. It is designed to internalize the verbs that precede a gerund or infinitive.

Gerunds and infinitives are spread randomly around a deck of common verbs. Players flip over the top card in the deck. The first player to slap a gerund or infinitive that matches the common verb gets to keep it. The player with the most gerunds or infinitives at the end of the game wins!

The focus is speed. The faster a player can read the word and slap the right word form, the more points they receive. This play structure is designed to make choosing gerunds or infinitives instinctual and unconscious, leading to better accuracy and more fluid communication.

What does it take to learn English effectively? Studies show you need these three things:

1) invested interest

2) a comfortable environment

3) a supportive community.

Infinerun can be a supplement in class, used during lesson transitions, or can be a great extra-curricular activity for any ESL learner wishing to make their language learning more fun.
